DAY 1 - The Travel Day

The day is finally here. Today we went up really early so we could meet the rest of our class in the airport at 6:15 am. We checked in, and then we had about 2 hours in the airport. In the airport we ate some breakfast at Lagkagehuset, and then we walked down to the gate. On each side of the plan, there were 3 seats on each row. The flight took about 1 hour and 45 minutes, and then we arrived in Manchester airport. In Manchester airport, we waited for our luggage, and then we took the bus to our hostel in Manchester.

After about 15 minutes in the bus, we finally arrived at our Hostel "YHA" in Manchester. Our rooms at the hostel wasn't ready, so we went out to get some lunch.

After lunch we went straight to Old Trafford, we walked all the way to the stadium. On our way we walked by some canals near our Hostel, so it was a very beautiful walk, and the weather was shiny. 

At Old Trafford we saw the stadium, the changing rooms, the conference room and so much more! The guide was a woman, who obviously was a huge fan of the Manchester United. Manchester United is that football team the stadium belongs to. After the guided tour around the stadium, we should listen to a lecture. After the lecture, we got the chance to look at the clothes and shoes, the players has worn. There was both David Beckhams shirt and Christiano Ronaldos shirt, so that was definitely exciting. The tour around the stadium was really a interesting experience.

After our tour at the stadium, we took a cap into the centre of Manchester. In the city we found a café called café Nero. At the café we got some coffee, cake and sandwiches'. Afterward we walked down the road to find some shops. We only reached one shop, called Primark. In Primark we spend about one and a half hour. When we got out of Primark it was dark, and the little "London-eye" was lighted up by the small light on it. It looked so cosy, and the atmosphere was great, but it was really cold.
After our shopping trip, we drove back in a cap, to our Hostel to get our rooms.

That evening we ate at Wagamama near our Hostel and the food was really great.

It had been a really long day and everyone was so tired, so some of us went home and slept. And the rest of us went to a pub called "The White Lion" on Liverpool Street, which is very close to our Hostel. It was a very cosy pub, and we definitely enjoyed our time there.
